Foamy water surface

Hey, Good morning.

Just asking for a little advice, there is foam forming on the top of my water, I’m sure it’s because of the build-up of proteins, cause I fed my fish a meal contains whole egg prepared in a special way so it won’t cloud the water.

My water ain’t cloudy, my tank looks absolutely phenomenal.

Only one issue, the foam forming on the water surface. Is there any trick to remove that foamy proteins from the surface without doing water changes?

I'd try a net with the fine silky texture not the little holes.

Scoop to one side and gather with a net, a paper towel, maybe try a coffee filter.

Thank you Autumnsky. I did nothing to it, I simply got busy and forgot about it. In 48 hours when I got back to it I found that my tank went cloudy. Then in another 48 my tank became crystal clear XD.

Ideally a couple water changes to get out the older water.

Is it still foaming now after being clear?

No it’s not foaming anymore. I do water changes regularly every week about 20 % of the water

Good, sounds like you said, too much protein.
