I've had this driftwood in this new setup tank for about 3-4 weeks now and it hasn't gone away. I've been told previously that it is a fungus that will disappear when it runs out of food. How much longer because I have been trying to remove it and it keeps coming back and leaving everything in my tank looking bad. Also I just got this sword and am wondering if it is a melon sword or ocelot sword. P.s. the thin leaf plant near the sword is not part of the plant it is a crypt. Thank you

Boiling the wood will help with the mold. Otherwise it will go away eventually but it could take a couple months. Sometimes snails will eat it. I had the same thing happen, Just like everything else in an aquarium patience is the key to victory. Good luck! Nice sword;)

I had the same nasty stuff and it did go away, it just took too long (3 months or so) but my wood that had it looks great now.
