Has anyone tried growing glosso from seeds? On ebay they sell these neat little jars of glosso seeds just wondering if anyone has tried this and had success.

Today... boom!

75-80 degrees
Covered in plastic with a small vented corner to evaporate excess mosture.
I also added some seed in the bare spots

I used a heating pad under the tank to warm the substrate.

Substrate: Aquasolum black Humate, black sand Florite mixture

I had Glosso for a few months. Spreads crazy fast. I ended up removing if because it started to take over. If not trimmed properly, it will grow over itself and eventually grow upward. Otherwise, it's a vibrant green carpet plant.
Here is a pic before I removed them:

So heres where im at after about 10 days.
I also would mist them with tank water from my other tank, which i hope provides some acclimation and nutrients as it does for my house plants

I would place a saucer in the tank and slowly add water.
Hopefully it will stay low and compact after flooding.
I shoulda clarified...

I meant can i just submerge em, or should it be done slowly in case of wilt?

Conditioned tap water/ RO water/ other tank water?
....stuff like that

Most folks simply flood the tank. But I understand your concern. Will it melt during the transition? Probably not. These are hardy plants. You could do conditioned tap water. I see nothing wrong with tank water other than the added nitrates. Then again, you might introduce algae doing that.
After flooding I would go ahead and start your fertilizer and carbon routine.

So i watched a couple videos where if they arent submerged soon (5-7 days) after starting that they have a tendency to grow more vertically.

Mine had just yesterday shown signs of this so i submerged them today to about an inch above plant height.
I used water treated with a dab of liquid fertilizer and excel.

Anymore updates on the gloss? Is the tank fully submerged now?

Not yet as i have some other plants comming in at the LFS today which will be added.
Than ill fill up and set up a DIY skimmer and filter for clairifying the water.

Notging seems to be wilting or anything so thats a first for me haha
