I bought two 4 ft. shop lights to use on my 29 gallon. The lights hang 6 in. over on each side but its in my room so it doesnt matter. Is this a good buld to use. i will be using 4 of them if they are. It would put me at medium high light. here is the address(link wouldnt work)

(Bulb is Phillips F32T8 TL865 48 ALTO Plus 1LP)

It is an excellent bulb.

Link doesn't work.

but, as Czcz said, the bulb is good. Pretty much any name brand manufactured bulb that says it's "daylight" is gonna have a good output for plants.

for plants, it is quantity over quality of light. Throw 3wpg of 'crappy spectrum' bulbs at a tank, and the plants will grow. Throw 2wpg of perfect spectrum at the same tank, adn the plants won't grow as fast, and the high high light ones may die off.
