hey all

I have a single 36" 30watt aquaglow tube over my tank and its been about 8 months so its time for a new tube.

I was wondering which is better growlux or aquaglow as I grow low light plants.

I've heard growlux is better but the light is very purple in colour and as my tank only has one light I need something that won't make my tank look dark.

also I would like my fish to stand out abit

so I want a tube that promotes plant growth, makes tank low bright still and makes fish look brighter

which tube would be the best for me??

as long as neither contains actinic light, they're really about equal. The growlux might give slightly better growth if you had more intensity, but it doesn't sound like you're interested in adding more light.

If the plants have been doing fine with the aquaglow, I'd stick with it.
