So i purchased the hagen co2 setup for my 55 gallon i know it's not much but i only have low light plants anyways, and as soon as i saw the kit for $10 i knew i couldn't make a diy for that price. Anyways where's the best place to put the diffuser i currently have a walmart brand hob, with a fluval 305 im cycling out the hob, and the intake for the fluval is on the left while the hob is on the right and both outs are the right. here's the pic i have i can't take another one cause my aquarium is infested with diatoms.

well the ladder is too tall to fit under either intake and is it okay if the bottle goes underneath the tank, im guessing i should put an air check valve on the co2 tubing, and will even a small amount of co2 help?

well prob not. they are very small. in bigger tanks its better to have a couple 2L. plus the hob is most likely gassing out what ever co2 you are adding.

well the hob will be gone by next monday right now im just letting the bacteria seed into the fluval. and i made some enhancements to the co2 setup what do you all think?
