Hair alge on driftwood

I just noticed my driftwood is growing alge at the top and it looks like little hairs....in the corner of my tank on the dw under some water lettuce it grew into like a small ball! What do I do?? I have already turn my light down and only turn it on a few hours a day

Scrub it away. I keep a toothbrush for such occasions.

Well I tried that and you can still see little ones like maybe 2 mm long! I will try again and see if it helps
