Do dwarf gouramis eat plants??? They didn't touch my anacharis or african sword or java fern! Now they are slicing and dicing my val's and that unknown broadleaf! Are they known for this or am I starving them?

They probably have an appatite for chef's salad. Mine never touched my plants when I had them.
I have chocolate and honey flame dwarfs and they don't touch anything but my christmas moss.
I mostly see the honey flames chewin on the Christmas moss........I've watched them closely and they don't seem to do any damage to it.......but that's not for lack of trying.

These two have just made short work of all four of my vals. They go through the leaves just like little buzz saws. Everytime I come in here, there's a few more leaves floating around.
Hmm...I wonder how they'd like the cichlid tank to see how it is being chewed on! j/k...mostly

I got rid of 6 various gourami species (none were dwarfs though) because they'd selectively destroy my plants too.
