How close should I plant my Glossostigma elatinoides???

Hey Gang,

I just got my order of plants:

I am not sure how close I should plant my Glossostigma elatinoides together to form a carpet? I have a total of 12 bunches.

Any advise will be helpful.

i've never had it myself, but i've read many use tweezers, mats, and hair nets... not to transfer people to other sites, but check out www.aquabotanic.com... go to their wet thumbs forum, i know people there have more experience w/ glosso...

do you have camera? i'd love to see shots of your tank as it comes along.

a lot of people will tease apart each shoot/stem and plant it individually. the spacing should be about a half inch to an inch apart from eachother...

I say plant these 1/3- 1/3 inch apart in a checkerboard pattern so they fill in quicker

I don't think marc's diagram displayed correctly.

He means like this (where X is a plant and _ is an empty space)

That way it doesn't look like perfect rows when you first plant it, and it'll easily fill in the gaps with healthy new growth.
