How easy is dwarf water lettuce to grow?

Plan on having it in my 55g running a duel T8 with 6500k bulbs. Will this lighting work for them? Using a HOB filter.

They should do fine with that lighting, although they don't like too much current. I have had some for less than a week and its spreading like crazy!

I have it in my tanks and it grows like crazy. I am using an Aquaclear50 on my 29, a Whisper 40 HOB on my 10g, and an Aqueon Quiet Flow 20 on my 5g. All of them run at full flow. The water lettuce completely covers the tanks. I am using 6500 k CFL bulbs. I had to make a coral around the filter outflow to keep the water lettuce away from it or my water couldn't circulate.

Do you have an open or closed lid? I've heard that this plant does not perform well with a closed lid.

Mine grows better in my tank with a closed lid.
My rimless is the one that has problems growing it.
