I have a

Length = 62cm
Width = 39cm
Depth = 50cm

tank. My light are 2x36W 1000K. I have mostly fast growth plants (vallisnerias ceratofylum demersum) and some anubias. Should I keep my lights on more than 10 hours or 8-9 hours is enough? I would like to check if I can decrease the algae growth rhythm.

Do fishes get affected by such changes in lighting??

so that is roughly 32 us gallons so you have about 2.25-2.5 wpg...
i think you should run your light about 10 hours a day... if you do not already i would run them with a timer to give the plants (and fish) a good/consistent day/light cycle.

Standard lighting times range between 8 to 12hrs. Go for a short lighting period if you are looking to maintain the tank or fight algae. If you're looking to increase growth to fill in the tank faster than go for a longer lighting period.

Your fish should adjust to the new lighting period within a few days if not immediately.
