How much ecocomplete will it take to properly fill a 46 gallon tank?

Thanks,

What are the measurements of the tank?

Here is a nice substrate calculator:

For a 10 gallon tank, I used one bag (20 pounds) plus about 1/4 of another bag. (The remainder of that bag went into a 5 gallon tank.)

So for 46 gallons, I would recommend 6 bags to start, and see if you like the depth. If you want it a little deeper, you can add another bag before you start planting.

I used 6 in a 55gal---about 2-1/4 base with a 4 inch deep slope in one rear corner.
