How much substrate for a planted tank?

How much substrate
Setting up a 46g planted tank. I have 40 pounds of Eco Complete fertilizer and 25 pounds of sand. Would that be enough?

Should be plenty(shoot for 2 1/2" deep)...what color is the sand you're using?

Ecocomplete is not fertilizer it is inert

I went with 3-4 inches on the 65g. 2" flourite sand and ~2" fluval stratum.

My 10g got 2", no sand.
