I'm out of town and stopped into a great aquarium store. I ended up getting some plants. How can I store these for ~36hrs before I put them in the tank?

I had them put each plant in their own bag, with aquarium water.

I would say as long as they're kept moist and room temp you should be fine for a few days. I've been in same situation and had no problems.

Keep them dark and they'll be fine for a couple.days.. no different than shipping, best to have less water, sloshing around can actually do some damage

These dudes obviously know WAY more than I would about plants, but maybe buy a cheap dechlorinator and a container with a lid

Treat it like its being shipped. Wrap them in wet paper towels and put them I bags. They'll be fine.

That is exactly what I would do as well. Just make sure you seal the bags to keep the humidity/water in the bag.
