Pic 1 looks similiar to some sort of crypt and pic 2 they look like sword plants, 2 different type of sword plants. Left is an ozellot sword and right appears to be a sword I'm not familiar with

They appear to be the emersed form of an amazon sword. They have a different leaf shape when grown out of water. The new leaves will convert over while the old leaves will rot away. It's nothing to be alarmed about when it happens.

That makes sense why I've never seen them before and had a bit of trouble with an ID

Yep the only reason I know is because my sword looked the exact same
