Is it possible?

I have two large Severum in a 72g tank. I have put plants in before and anchored them well, but soon after, the Severum just rip them up. They don't even seem to want to eat the plants, they just shred them. It was starting to get expensive, so I stopped and went with all rocks.

Do I have any chance of keeping plants alive in my tank? Are there specific plants I should go for?

I stopped a fish from digging up plants by putting them in pots. He developed his favorite zones to dig and left the pots alone.
