Japanese Trap Door Snail info?

Does anyone have any info on these guys? I picked up some today, but was looking to get more/better info. Are they generally plant safe?

Yeah, they're pretty plant safe, and they breed slow enough you probably won't be overrun. Don't worry too much, unless you start to have a problem.

They're fairly easy to breed, if you have more than one, but they only lay a couple hundred eggs at a time.
