I bought a Java fern just before Xmas and ever since, it's been throwing out baby java fern plantlets like their going out of fashion. I've attempted to tie them to driftwood and stones with fishing line, even elastic bands but it doesn't seem to work. I have also tried burying them slightly in the gravel and that works for a while, until the BN gets hold of them and they end up floating around the tank again. The rocks that I intend to attach the java fern to are fairly big and no rubber band would be able to go around them anyway, so I was wondering whether a little bit of aquarium sealant would work or would it ruin the plant?

Thanks :)

Use a small dab of superglue. I use it on most of my ferns. Just be careful and don't cover the entire rhizome. Use just enough to make the plant stick.
