i have had some java moss on some of my driftwood for months now and it still hasn't taken hold. i have tied it, staped it, just layed on the driftwood and still it will not take hold. if i sand the driftwood would that help?

any advice would be appreciated. thanks,Randy.

is it smooth driftwood? or porus and cracked? i just tie mine with fishing line so once the moss grows a bit u dont see it anymore(u can barely see it in the first place) and then let it grow. u dont need to worry about removing the fishing line since it doesnt dissolve. it will grab hold eventually. is it growing alot or no?

its growing nicely, but it isn't getting attached to the driftwood. my bichirs love to hide in it, so i guess they are making it difficult to adhere to the wood.
