It needs potassium and high water flow. It's prone to black water algae. It needs cooler temps. If the tank is too warm it goes dormant. If it goes dormant just take it out put it in a bag in the fridge for a while and plant it again.

The only tank I have that has cool enough water 70-72F is my goldfish tank. It thrives in cool water.

I have 2 of these on a 12" x 12" x 12" cube with 79F water, PH of 7.8 and what is considered medium lighting. They are both growing on a daily basis.

I have a question please my pet store guy told me if another plant leafs bend on its leafs it burns or dying the first plant?

Mine is touching other plants and they are just fine. Here are some images of my tank. Please note the big leaf on the lwft hand foreground/midgeound.

I have one of them too! Only problem I had was when you replant the root ball/corm, all the old leaves starts to die. I had mine in a planter just incase I have to move it again (probably some time soon) the root ball will not be disturbed and not go through the die off phase.

Nice guys then i am thinking really in getting just a small one to try out...is it a rare plant like i heard?

Keep in mind they grow fast, and typically exceed 14" long leaves. I might end up trading mines since they do make things (at least at this point) quite unbalanced.
