Well I finally got my shipment of plants. I was supposed to receive it last Thursday but because of problems with UPS i got them 6 days later. Well the plants were damaged but thankfully they were pretty hardy plants, java fern, crypts, wisteria etc.

Are there anything special I should I do to help them out? Right now I pruned all the dying leaves and have them floating in the tank.

plant the crypts, and if you have them, put a root tab underneath each one.

plant the wisteria. float the java ferns.

I'd say that you are on the right track. If they've got a descent root structure, go ahead and get them planted in the substrate (or tied to driftwood/rock in the case of the java fern). A root tab under their roots would be helpful, especially for the crypts.
