Laterite stones??

Got some laterite stones from friend who is trek lover. I don't know whether they are suited for planted aquarium.

How to test these stones & verify if they can be kept in tank without harming fishes?

Im not an expert on this but I have used natural rocks from the beach (about 100yards from where the sea can actually reach) in my tank and not had Issues but I did boil the rocks twice and then let them sit in a bucket of water for a week with daily pwc's on the bucket just to make sure. Then I put em in my tank and jobs a gudden.
