Will using lead plant anchors temporarily to keep plants down until they root cause problems for any fish or invertibrates? I haven't tested pH lately, but i don't have any fish that need acidic water.

Lead will not alter pH, rather it could leach lead into your water. This it not really that big of a problem, esp not for the short period of time you would be using it.

What are they made of btw? Just curious, I have one or two in one of my tanks, but never did look to see what they were made of.
