Learning about plants need suggestions

I have a 55 gallon that had two t8 48" bulbs on it. Want to start with live plants. Have some frog-bit and java ferns. Would like suggestions for other plants that would work with this setup.
Don't want to do co2 but happy to fertilize as needed. Need info on that too

Some other options you have are anubias, a good variety of crypts, java moss, a variety of swords, tiger lotus, and a few others.
