Hello,

My 3.5 gal tank is nearing the end of cycling and I would like to start choosing plants to add in. I read the locked thread regarding Help for Planted Tanks but all the links are now defunct (or not in english).

Are there any reputable and accurate sites where I can read on choosing plants for beginners? As well, I am seeking advice on my lighting...I have a tank kit that came with a LED light attached underhood, it states "0.85W". I'm unsure how to decipher that into useful plant-choosing info. There is little to no natural sunlight near my tank as it's located in the corner of my kitchen, but there is a CFL range hood light just a few feet away that always stays on.

Thanks for any direction!

Thanks so much for the info and the link...very helpful! Beautiful pics as well. I really like the fluffy frilly look of the Hornwort and the Needle Leaf Java Fern. I'll put both of them on my shopping list.

Thanks again!
