Recently on here I read a thread about using those glass bulbs inside the tank to measure exact CO2 levels because the liquids stay separate and you use a known KH solution as your control.

Can someone link for me (or guide me in the right direction) to one I can purchase? I'm looking for a nice glass version that will not detract from the look of the tank and that does not use Ebay/paypal for payment.

Thanks in advance!

I think you are looking for a drop checker. I found mine on E-bay... Here are a couple (I got the first one):

http://cgi.ebay.com/Co2-Drop-Checke...tcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Co2-Drop-Ch...tcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Of course, both of these use PayPal... If you can't go that route, perhaps you can contact the seller a request different payment terms, or google "Drop Checker" and see what you can find.

// ** EDIT ** //

You could buy the ADA version here:

http://www.aquaforestaquarium.com/

(search for drop checker)... Of course you will pay about x2 as much.

.

$38!!! What a joke! That ADA site is the biggest bunch of #$#@ I've ever seen. I think they are the Monster or Bose of the fish hobby.

Anyone else know of a place I can find these for less expensive (but would prefer not through ebay)?

EDIT:

Came across this from another forum:

http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsUS/ctl3684/cp18478/si1380875/cl0/redseaco2indicator

I've been waiting to get some items together for a BigAl's order and now I'm all set with the CO2 as well. Let me tell you how difficult it was to find that little bugger....

Lol...you know when you buy ADA stuff you are paying for the brand name (and Amanos rock star lifestyle).
That said, I have bit the bullet and paid the premium on a few ADA products. I will say this, they may be too expensive, but they are absolutely top quality available. In the end, I am happy with all of the overpriced ADA items I have bought.

<<drools on Cabochon red Ruby>>> er please no one tell my wife I spent $40 on a check valve. A really cool check valve sure, but it does not work better thatn the $1.98 one.
