My brother and I have been thinking about trying to pursue a carpeting plant. Although we are using a low light setup. Any ideas for a carpet if at all possible?

To get a dense, short carpet its impossbile in a low teh setup. But you can try crytpo pava, moss tied to rocks, or micro sword. It will be a taller, grass like carpet.

I do have a crypt. Love those plants. Somewhere I heard that dwarf sag is a
Good lowlight plant.

Yes dwarf sag is a good low-ish light plant for carpeting. It spreads pretty fast so you'll get a carpet quick. Though if you want a real carpet plant like dwarf hairgrass, dwarf baby tears, etc your gonna need high light. Riccia is a good carpeting plant too but it needs med. light.
