Low Light Plants

Question: Since Java moss and Java ferns are low light plants, how long should the aquarium lights be left on, daily, in my 10 gallon and 20 gallon aquariums so that these plants will continue to thrive?

Generally 6-8 hours.
What kind of lights are you using?

I would go with that 8 hours maximum.

Lighting

The type of lighting that I have on my 10 and 20 gallon tanks are: LED, incandescent bulbs, and full spectrum florescent bulbs. The types of low light plants that I have are: annbus nana, Java moss, Java fern, and Morimo moss balls. I have been turning the light on for 4 hours, then off for 2 hours, then back on for 4 more hours. Thank-you for taking the time to respond.
