A few weeks back I bought a marimo moss ball, we loved it so much we added a second one a couple of weeks ago. The last water change I went to clean the older of the two balls, and it felt more course and had a large "crack" in it. I pulled it out yesterday and it basically split in two. I rolled the two halves, but they are still very course. There is not white or brown spots and I do not see any algae on it.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?
