marimo moss balls?? healthy or dying??

ive had my marimo for a few months. when i got him he was bright green and soft now he is an olive green and when hes wet hes not very firm. is this normal? i moved him a few days ago to a table in front of the window covered in blinds. he was on a shelf away from a window. is he dying??!


also the picture makes him look more green than he actually is
