So we bought some flame moss and it look exactly like some moss we have growing in our yard up on the hill. So mom went out and collected 2 other type of mosses from the yard and submerged them in water for about 10 days and they are doing fine...she thinks they will be fine to add into the tank. She read about someone who did the same and there tank and it's doing well even after 2 years...what are your thoughts?

Other info: the 55gal tank it still in fishless cycling. Almost compete.

If it grows well in the tank then I say good find. All aquarium plants start out wild. I collected some great plants from a pond near my house that's been growing wonderfully for months (Whorled Pennywort).
