has anyone use this combo before? i tried finding sms and truface in charcoal but all i could find is aways away and it would cost about 30 to get to my local lesco. but the oil-dri absorbent would be much cheaper. does anyone have any pictures of the oil-dri in tank or any problems with it?

I've heard of people using cat litter in planted tanks. Cheap cat litter is about the same thing as oil dry. What you mean by MTS?

well i started washing off some. it's incredibly dusty but it doesn't look to bad when wet. has a nice mixture of dark grey and rust. should look a lot better than bright white pfs and much better for the plants. does anyone know how long this thing will last.

The chunks of oil dry will fall apart into a mud-like paste eventually. Oil dry is basically clay.
