So after a lot of research, even more trial and error, a serious amount of frustration, and a great amount of learning along the way thanks to this community, I present to you my modest, moderately planted barb tank. It's now at a point where I feel I can show the community here. I know this does not stack up against some of the amazing tanks I've seen here, but it's mine and it makes me happy ?

After a pleco disaster took care of some beautiful swords I had in there and my "they're so plant friendly" pair of rainbow cichlids destroyed my Narrow leaf chain swords and Staurogyne Repens carpet, my tank is now largely different varieties of Anubias, and Java ferns.

My list of flora and fauna:

Anubias nana
Anubias hastifolia
Anubias heterophylla
Java ferns
Crypt balansae
Crypt undulata

Tiger barbs
Odessa barbs
Giant danios
Rainbow cichlids
Bristlenose pleco

Again, thanks for all your help and support.

Those Anubis really pop against that dark background. Bravo!
Sounds like a lively group of fish in there.

Thanks! The albino tigers are a hoot. Surprisingly more lively compared to the other tigers.

Thanks!!

The tiger barbs are just maturing and I'm starting to see more typical behavior. Last night I caught a couple doing their little tiger barb dance.

I'll definitely post a video soon!
