What are some good sturdy plants for a beginner in raising plants. I would like to have a grass like bottom.

What type of lighting and bulbs are you using in your tank? Also what stock do you have?

Low light tolerant plants that work in low light setups are Anubia's, Java Fern's, Bolbitus, and Crypts.

What size tank? The closest you'll get to a grass looking plant in low light would be dwarf chain sword.

Well I have a 2.5g for now. I was thinking about starting my plant in there and when it grows the size of the tank I'll transfer it to a 10g I have.

My 2.5 only has water and gravel in it. My 10g is in storage.
