Oh Boy...

So I decided to take the plunge into plants today... I figured it was about time so I got something simple. I went and picked up some java fern. I now have it in my guppy tank and my 20gh community tank. Looks like I've got another thing to keep me in this hobby! It's not much but I think it looks great Much better than fake plants (actually cheaper too...).

cool just remember that the ferns need to have their rhizome above the gravel and what kind of lights do u have

Rhizome? Sorry I know nothing of plants. And both tanks have low-med lighting.

i mean what kind are they??? the stock ones??? also the rhizome its some part of the root

Yeah just standard lights... Will they work? And yeah part of the roots are sticking up.

I mean it will keep it alive fir awhile but it wont thrive on it
