PH and plants

I have been preparing my tank awhile for plants and I was just wondering how severe the effects of a high ph may be on plants. My ph is 8.0-8.2 which of course is very high but my fish haven’t shown any symptoms of it. Im also curious about if the mix of plants/ co2 supply could lower the ph enough to be suitable. Im just trying to figure out if I should set this all up within the next few days or wait until parameters are better.
