Looks like some lush growth! Thanks for sharing.

Can you tell us a bit more about the setup?

Well it's a 7ft 220 gallon. I added acrylic on all three sides and in front of the light, I did this because I am going to add misters for the top plants.
The lighting is 716watts, 4 t5 bulbs and two 250watt ADA metal halides, they are the 8000k green bulbs.
For the substrate, since I live in Alaska, I decided to go with glacial silt for the first 1.5 inches, with 3 inches of Eco-complete as a cap.
I am using one ehime filter, hooked to a co2 defuser. With a ph controller. I love them

All in all fairly simple for what it is. I do a water change about every two weeks

Excellent! Sounds like a great setup.

What size CO2 tank are you running? I bet a 220 can burn through it pretty quick (although I am sure the controller helps conserve).

Any fish or other critters in there among the jungle?

I use 25lb co2 tanks, I have 2. Each one will last few months. It not like the calcium reactor, that was bad.

Fish, I have a dozen sparkle gourami (or whatever they are called), a dozen threadfin, two sunset gourami, and one neon gourami.

Crabs and crawfish, I have a redclaw, a fiddler crab, and a Mexican red crawfish.

Shrimp, I have 2 vampire filters, 5 wood shrimp, 8 amano, 1 tiger, and 20 crystal red shrimp "I started with 6". I am about to pick up another 100-150 crystals for breeding

Last but not least is a long fin albino bushy nose, I will be getting a nice male here soon

Thank you for asking, I love having a place "on my phone" that I can just nerd out and talk to people about aquariums

Here are a few that I have on my phone, I will try and put on a few more later

This is the piece of acrylic that I cut out and put on the back glass. I went this direction because the planters can easily be changed out or moved around

I was testing to make sure everything was going to fit

I drilled holes in the pots in order to give the roots places to go, and boy do they, the roots are nearly to the bottom now

The top of the pots are about an inch under the surface of the water
