plant advice

I'm going to get a 55 gallon tank from my LFS but all they carry is marineland led. I've found out that it isn't very good for plants so does anyone know any good low light plants? More importantly, if i place the aquarium in front of a window will I be able to plant medium to high light plants?

Putting the tank in front of a window is just begging for an algae bloom. I wouldn't try it.

A 4ft T8 shop light is pretty good bang for your buck. The Marineland Double Bright fixture would work for plants.
