Can anyone tell me what this is? It came with the baby aquarium snails I ordered.

I could be more specific and say it's a plastic piece of plant that is suppose to be "hornwort" I think.

Oh... Well the stem broke in half very easily, I though it was real...

Sorry they probably used plastic so the plant would give the snails something to hold onto if they wanted but wouldn't breakdown and pollute the water. You can still use it if you want, just stick it down in the substrate if it will stay.

Yes it did. I tossed it out though I was able to break it easily between my fingernails just like my water wisteria stems.
