I just bought a new lamp because I had nothing over my new 5 gallon. I've never used LEDs before and I don't know if this is strong enough for a low tech 5gallon tank. I do have fluval substrate and I use excel as well. I have it on for 8 hours out of the day 4hrs, 4hr break then another 4hrs. Can anyone tell me if this light is enough? Thanks

Finnex planted plus is nice too and much cheaper. but that light should be good for your tank.

That light is quite low powered looking at the stats. It's sufficient for a low light tank so you're looking at Crypts, Anubias, Java fern, bolbitis, and Java moss as your most common low light plants.

I currently have crypts in there right now. Thanks for the suggestions of plants.
