Well.. I've trimmed my stem plants many times now. But only recently, I trimmed one in the middle of the plant. I replanted the top (which I always do) but because the bottom was so long this time, I kept and replanted it. Well I haven't seen new growth on it and I've been curious as to the possibility of it continuing to grow upward. Or is that now impossible?

Thanks so much.

Depends on the plant but usually the bottom should develop side shoots. That is the main way to propagate stem plants.

Oh okay. I figured, but I'm a relative plant newbie.

The plant is Ludwigia Repens :p.
