Red Neon Dwarf Gourami eating Amazon Frogbit?
Recently got a dwarf gourami as a centerpiece to my community tank. I have a 29G tank and a dual T5 24W fixture on the way to provide adequate lighting to my plants.
I've never seen a fish eat plants before, but for some reason, the gourami really loves my Amazon Frogbit floating at the top. I use it to give some light coverage for the Glass Catfish in my tanks as they don't tend to enjoy harsh light. Unfortunately, my frobit is now dying out and withering because of being chewed on so heavily.
Do you guys have any advice on what to feed the Gourami to prevent him from eating my plants? Or, preferably, any recommendations regarding a good canopy plant that will sit at the surface of the water?
