Root tablets. How do i use them?

Hi, I have a 100G tank, with few real plants, most of my decorations are plastic.
But I do have some java moss, jungle sword, and a small one that I have not identified yet. I purchased some API Root Tablets.... but after reading the directions, I have some doubts.

Do I dig the tablets under the plants? Or just close to the plants? One tablet per plant?

Thanks for your answers!

I put them in the substrate an inch or so away from the bottom of the plant. Be sure they are completely covered.

yup push them deep into the substrate in the area of your rooted plants. With my root tabs I put them at the base of each large rooted plant, or approx 1 per 8 sq inch area.

I always just put one directly under each sword.

Depends. I usually add a new one every month or so. Some last longer than others

I was actually thinking about this same question. Do the same rules apply with sand substrate.

Same idea, just bury them near the plants and change monthly or so.
