Hi everyone

I added a couple of plants to my tank a week ago and it appears on some to have roots growing out of the stem midway up the plant. Do I trim these or are they new branches that just look like roots?

Thanks

Those are water roots which plants will put out before they get a root system established in the substrate. You can trim them if you like, it won't hurt the plant although it can be quite a chore depending on how many plants you've got
