i i would like to know if this plant is suitable for my 8g tank and what is the requirement of this plant..thx

Should be fine in an 8 gallon tank. Needs high light and CO2 with ferts. The water should be soft and acidic.

here's mine:

here is a better pic I took just for this post: :)

I have Rotala wallichii in a 5 gallon tank. My light is medium (18 watts PC over 5.5 gallons) and I use DIY CO2 and fertilize daily. My R. wallichii is doing well - it's not as pink as rkilling1's at the top but it does have some color, and it looks nice.

If that's R. wallichi, then I have some in my 10G and is doing very well. Tank stats.....

ph 6.4
CO2 injected into Whisper 5-15 intake
kh 70
gh 100
temp 79
And I dose all macros and micros
Lighting - 2 25W CF screw-ins.

Once it gets going it grows pretty fast. Even faster is Rotala sp. "Vietnam," which looks real similar but, ime, easier.

Heed rkilling's suggestion about soft water -- I found R. wallichii hard in moderate KH but relatively easy in ~2 and lower dKH. CO2 mist also does wonders. This is true of most plants.
