At Petsmart I saw mondo grass in a planted tank display...Is that the same as the mondo grass in my yard..
I have black mondo grass for the yard. The same
Basically yes, and the Brazil Swords they have for sale are also non-aquatic also. been there done that bought both and found out they were both non-aquatic afterwards
same here, Bought both them and then found out they were non-aquatic.
So I took them back, told the fish lady that someone that had been in the aquarium game for 30 years told me they were non-aquatic, and that I wanted a refund.
They took the plants, PUT THEM BACK IN THE TANK TO SALE, and gave me my money
Yup, the mondo grass is the same as in your front yard. It is not submersible and will die very slowly. It will tolerated wet conditions such as in a terrarium or bog enviroment, but the leaves must remain in the air. Im new to planted tanks but have been a serious gardener for 25 plus years and was amazed when I saw mondo grass and aztec grass in the tank at petsmart.
