Can you put sea shells in a freshwater planted take and everything be ok?

Yep :) as long as they're dead shells. The softer things like sand dollars will float and break down however

Thank you my mom punched them at the beach and is wanting me to put them in my tanks. Will it change the ph of my water?

Shells can eventually break down and release calcium, which could cause the pH to rise. Depending on your current pH and the shells, this may drastically affect your pH or it might barely make an impact. What's your pH at?

And before putting them in the tank, i'd make sure to rinse them throughouly to clean off any dirt and salt, and do a quick boil to kill any nasties.
