Based on my drop checker, with 4dkh solution, it appears the test solution pH is somewhere around 6.4-6.6, so that would estimate my CO2 concentration to be 38ppm +/- 10ppm. I'm getting 2.4 bps from my DIY setup.

Should I continue to dose Excel? Prior to the DIY CO2 I was dosing my tank with 1.875ml Excel per day (children's motrin syringe has perfect measurement) on my 18 gallon tank. Will Excel be of any benefit with a 40ppm CO2 concentration?

No, I would stop daily dosing... however excel still makes an excellent addition to fight outbreaks of algae... especially if applied directly to affected areas with a medicine dropper.

Glutaraldehyde makes for an excellent algaecide.

I stopped dosing. I still have some old bba on some anubias leaves. It isn't growing or spreading, but not going anywhere. Does H2O2 work on bba like it does on cyanobacteria?

I imagine using H2O2 is better for treating large amounts of algae at once than glutaraldehyde. I can put too much glutaraldehyde in my water, but not H2O2, right?

Well h2o2 disassociates quickly into water but I wouldn't go using a whole bottle or anything :)
