Silicone tube poison?

Bought a green silicone tube at Petco for a DIY CO2 - will be used to connect a limewood airstone. But the tube has a strong smell even after it was sinked in water for hours. I wonder it may pollute the water with that smell and maybe it is poison to fish. Can anyone verify that it is safe to aquarium? Thanks!

If it is 100% silicone without mildew and mold inhibitors in it, (ie: tub & tile silicone) it will be fine.

I use that tubing with no ill effects.

That's all I use for tubing. We bought a big roll of it at the lfs. Perfectly safe.

Thank you all for your replies. I put the tubing in the tank yesterday and I don't see any fish problem today. Assume it is safe.

i got the same stuff from petco and it is safe never lost fish or anything been using that same stuff for years.
