Hi all,

This is probably going to be a stupid question but here it goes...

How do i use a solenoid valve?
Do i literally just plug it into a plug timer, set the time for it to switch off and then leave it?

I've just set my system up and im just about getting used to it, but i may be thinking its harder to set up than it actually is.

TIA

That's it in a nutshell. If you are using a pH controller you would plug the solenoid into the controller switch. Otherwise, plug it straight into your timer and have it turn off at night.

With a pH controller your BPS (flow of CO2) is less important, because once you hit your max CO2 injection, the controller turns off the flow. Otherwise, you will need to balance your CO2 flow so to try and maintain a good level without killing everything in your tank.

Oh right, yeah i was pretty confident thats how it worked, but wanted some confirmation.

I like the sound of the pH controller, i think i'll look into them some more.

Thanks.
